The West Coast Institute for Studies in Anthroposophy, located in British Columbia, Canada, offers a 2-year, part time Waldorf Early Childhood Educator Training with a 14 month, part time Birth to Three option, and differing courses and workshops each summer for Waldorf teachers and others.
Waldorf Early Childhood Educator Training Auditing
We are opening some of our Waldorf Early Childhood Educator Training courses to auditors. Auditing is open to all current Waldorf class teachers and those enrolled in a Waldorf Early Childhood Educator training.

The Art of Conversation: The Green Snake and the Beautiful Lily
with Jason Yates
Imagination, relationship, and soulful conversation: these are some of the leading themes of The Green Snake and the Beautiful Lily, written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in 1795. This course will be a journey through the imagery of the fairy tale meant to illuminate these themes as well as the questions that arise along the way—“What is more refreshing than light?”
This course is open to Waldorf educators and those interested in anthroposophy.
Saturdays 5:30-7:00 pm: January 11, January 18, January 25, February 1, February 8
Sundays 9:00-10:30 am: January 12, January 19, January 26, February 2
This course is held online via Zoom; all times are Pacific Time.

Waldorf Birth to Three Educator Training
New cohort begins summer, 2025
July session at Sunrise Waldorf School, Duncan, Vancouver Island; fall & spring at the Vancouver Waldorf School in North Vancouver, BC
This is a 14 month, birth to three focused option of the part-time Early Childhood Program. It runs for eight weeks over 14 months, comprised of three weeks in two summers (July) and a week in November and February of the first year.
