Please note that private home accommodation is subject to availability and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Private Home
The cost for housing is CAN $30/$35 per person, per night.
Children 12 and under are half price.

Bedding and towels will be provided. Where possible, students will have access to the kitchen to prepare their own breakfast with their own food. Lunch and dinner are provided at the school for a fee – visit the website for the separate meals request form in May. Circumstances will vary: Some hosts will continue to stay at their houses and rent out a room or two, while others may be away during that time and rent their whole house to West Coast Institute participants. For the most part, bathrooms will be shared. Unless requested otherwise, each student will have his or her own bed. Those who apply first are likely to get the best options (e.g. master bedrooms with ensuite), those who apply late in the process might have to share rooms. Fees are payable to your host. If mailing, payment is sent to the host.

Full payment in CDN $ is required at time of booking with your host 

The session manager will have a list of homestay opportunities and will email you a host to contact. Any changes to plans must be arranged directly with the host.

Cancellations are arranged with your host, it’s suggested when received by June 3 will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations received between June 4 – June 10 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds for cancellations received after June 10. Please contact the Session Manager, manager@westcoastinstitute.org if you have any questions.

The areas closest to Sunrise Waldorf School (from 1 = closest to 7 = farthest) are:
1. Cowichan Station, 2. Cowichan Bay, 3. Cobble Hill, 4. Mill Bay, 5. Duncan, 6. Glenora, and 7. Chemainus.

While there are several decent campgrounds located at a reasonable distance from Sunrise Waldorf School, we would strongly recommend not to stay at Riverside RV and Camping in Duncan.
