Courses Students Meals Signup

If you are an ECE 2019-22 (Graduating) Cohort student please use the meals form on the Programs Meals page, so you can sign up for meals for both weeks on the same form.

You are welcome to have family/friends join you for meals and snacks; you can sign up for their meals and snacks on the same form.

Due to the complexity of the meals form, we will invoice you with the total amount you owe.

Children: Children 12 and under are half price. If you will have a child/children 12 and under joining you, please email Carolyn at manager(at)westcoastinstitute.org and let her know what meals/snacks they will be joining and what their dietary preference is. If we added children’s meal options to the forms, we would have 16 different choices for lunches, and that seems overly complicated! Children over 12 pay full price–you can sign up for their meals on the same form as you are using.

Cancellations: Cancellations received 3 weeks in advance will receive a full refund minus a $25 fee. Cancellations received 2 weeks in advance will receive a full refund minus a $75 fee. No refunds for cancellations received one week in advance or less.

Meals Deadline: Meals must be booked one week before your training begins.

Questions: If you have questions about meals/snacks please email Carolyn at manager(at)westcoastinstitute.org.

Meet Our Caterer

We are very fortunate that Katy Ehrlich from the Alderlea Farm and Cafe. will be serving biodynamic and organic food for our snacks, lunches, and dinners this summer. Katy was awarded Rural Woman of the year in 2014 by Her Honour Judith Guichon, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, "She is a farmer who embodies the principles of sustainable food production and distribution, stewardship for the earth, and building community."

Adlerlea Farm and Cafe won a Vancouver Island Eco-Star Award in 2017. These awards recognize outstanding environmental achievements and leadership. They are given to local champions of initiatives, projects, and innovations that contribute to a vibrant future in which our communities and ecology both prosper.

In 2018, the Farm and Cafe won a Black Tie award for Best Green Business. Imagine a real local Farm with real food having award-winning status! Not only is Katy a farmer, a great cook, but she has also written a Cookbook, Children's books, and was a Waldorf teacher for 20 years!

We hope many of you will sign up for our summer catering to enjoy this wonderful woman's enthusiasm and love for real good food!
