The West Coast Institute for Studies in Anthroposophy, located in British Columbia, Canada, offers a 2-year, part time Waldorf Early Childhood Educator Training with a 14 month, part time Birth to Three option, and differing courses and workshops each summer for Waldorf teachers and others.

Anthroposophical Biography

Bring consciousness to life questions through reflection and artistic techniques

with Ko Hawkes

Schedule: daily 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Ko will offer a structured, artistic, and reflective approach to exploring life stories based on Rudolf Steiner’s seven-year life phases and developmental rhythms, bringing consciousness to our life questions and to healing.

Waldorf Birth to Three Educator Training

New cohort begins summer, 2027

July session at Sunrise Waldorf School, Duncan, Vancouver Island; fall & spring at the Vancouver Waldorf School in North Vancouver, BC or online.

This is a birth to three focused option of the part-time Waldorf Early Childhood Program. It runs for eight weeks over 14 months—comprised of three intensive weeks in two summers and a week in November and February of the first year—two 1.5 hour online courses on Saturday and Sunday for five weekends in September/October and January/February in Year 1.
