Vancouver Housing Info

Please note that private home accommodation is subject to availability and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis

Private Home

$35 per night per person for bed & breakfast or kitchen use
$30 per night per person for bed only
Children are half price.

Bedding and towels will be provided. Where possible, students will have access to the kitchen to prepare their own breakfast with their own food. Please indicate that need with your booking. Lunch and snacks are provided at the school; classes end at 6:45 so you make your own arrangements for dinner.

Circumstances will vary: Some hosts will continue to stay at their houses and rent out a room or two, while others may be away during that time and rent their whole house to West Coast Institute students. For the most part, bathrooms will be shared and rooms will have 1 or 2 beds. Unless requested otherwise, each student will have his or her own bed, but it is possible they may share a room for part or all of the time of the training session. The very reasonable cost of accommodation takes this into consideration.

Payments

Full payment in CDN $ is required at time of booking.

Canadian students: Please pay electronically through your bank with Interac, to info(at)westcoastinstitute.org, if at all possible. Cheques are also accepted. Please do not use PayPal, which charges fees.

American and other International students: Please click the link below to make a payment in Canadian $ via PayPal. Please do not send checks.

After payment has been made, host contact information will be provided. We expect a higher demand than usual for accommodation, so if payment has not been received within 3 weeks the accommodation will be allotted to someone else in need.

The Housing Coordinator is responsible for liaising home stay opportunities on your behalf. Any changes to plans must be arranged through the Housing Coordinator and not directly with the host.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be in writing. Cancellations received by October 11th will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations received between October11 – 18 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds for cancellations received after October 18.
