Kindergarten Centre Manager | Raphael House Rudolf Steiner School, Lower Hutt, New Zealand
We are seeking an experienced ECE qualified teacher/Centre Manager, with Steiner experience, to lead, inspire and be inspired by our amazing team of professional teachers. Our ideal applicant will have experience and expertise in Steiner education and outstanding organizational and communication skills. The position will provide leadership and strategic direction to the kindergarten teaching team to bring a sense of unity and will be responsible for mentoring the teachers, managing staffing, enrolments, budgets, communication with families, relief teaching, supporting the teachers in their daily rhythm, centre administration and general kindergarten management. NZ teacher registration is required.
Raphael House Rudolf Steiner School is situated on the western hills of Lower Hutt, near Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. There are wonderful views of the valley and Wellington harbour from the school buildings, which are nestled on a ridge amidst beautiful native forest.
Our thriving school is innovative and progressive in its teaching and learning programmes. We also enjoy a rich cultural and festival life supported by enthusiastic and committed teachers and parents.
The school was established in 1979 and now has a roll of around 400 students, from kindergarten through to Class 12 (year 13). As a state integrated school we receive funding from the government. The property is owned by a Trust and the building development has been funded through parent donations.

Sunfield Waldorf School is growing! With this growth, we will have two stand alone classes in the 2019-2020 school year and are in the process of finding new faculty members to join our lively, dedicated and inclusive team.
Sunfield Waldorf School seeks a class teacher for our 2019-2020 2nd grade class. The ideal candidate is a trained Waldorf teacher with the intention of holding a class through 8th grade. We are seeking someone who possesses confidence, warmth, brightness, and is open to integrating the rhythms of a working farm into their teaching. The ideal candidate has a strong aptitude for working in the social realm of children and adults and is eager to be fully immersed in parent work. The first grade class has been lovingly shepherded through their beginning in the grades by a devoted Sunfield faculty member who will remain at the school. This bright, artistic and joyful class is well formed and eager for new experiences.
Sunfield Waldorf school has been on our land for 13 years. We currently serve 124 children in preschool through 8th grade with a curriculum that integrates the rhythm of the farm and land. Daily, children and teachers work with animals, plants, gardens, compost, walk and play on the land, and steward this magical place. We have combined classes for grades 1 through 8. Our dedicated faculty of 15 includes lead teachers, assistants and specialties instructors. Our faculty enjoy a strong colleagueship, deepening their work through anthroposophy and a connection to the land and farm.
Sunfield Land for Learning encompasses a Waldorf school, Biodynamic farm and community education program. We are located on an 81 acre campus in Jefferson county on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in WA state. We are one of the few Waldorf schools in the nation that is located on a working farm. This farm includes forest, wetland and agricultural fields. Just outside of Port Townsend, a vibrant Victorian seaport community, Sunfield is nestled between the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. We are two hours away from the bustling city of Seattle and have mountains and ocean in our backyard. Truly a beautiful place to live and work!
